About the work

I am a young photographic artist who grew up in Meanjin (Brisbane) and am now living and studying on the beautiful lands of the Kabi Kabi people (Maroochydore). I love experimenting in a wide range of formats and I am inspired by the humour and sharing culture of the internet.

‘Rabbit Phone’ is a 2021 photographic portrait of my cousin Maeve Lamond captured on the semi-rural edge of Brisbane where I spent a lot of my time growing up. ‘Rabbit Phone’ explores childhood memories and the freedom of playing dressup games. It is a playful homage inspired by the work of Samantha Everton and in particular her 2007 piece ‘Invisible Children’.
