Half time by Holly Spencer

My name is Holly and I am an 11-year-old living in Brisbane. This artwork captures a special moment from my first touch football game at the Brothers Rugby Club. In the painting, I am taking a much-needed break during halftime, drinking from my water bottle. I chose to depict this scene because sports play a significant role in my life.

This moment is a snapshot of an experience shared by many kids in Brisbane – the intense effort of playing a game and the simple joy and relief that comes from a refreshing drink during a break. This painting not only represents my personal connection to sports but also highlights the universal feelings of determination and satisfaction that come with participating in physical activities.
