Foresight by Jessica Smart

This piece represents the pressure placed on young people to make important decisions about their future. I wanted this painting to convey uncertainty and the idea of not being able to see what lies ahead.

I am a Year 11 student in Brisbane and often feel stressed by the expectation to have a career pathway and goals predetermined in high school, especially with the world changing as rapidly as it is. I know that many of my peers feel the same.
