About the work

In your teenage ages, growing up is inevitable. Sometimes time moves too quickly and before you can get a grip of what’s happening you’re faced with hundreds of decisions. You feel like if they fail, your whole future will fall apart. For me, I’m terrified to grow out of my shell and find a new one. I’ve always planned on moving to Brisbane when I’m 18 to study what I love most. With only a bit over a year left of school, I feel the comfort leaving me, urging that it’s time to move on. I’ve painted myself to represent what growing up feels like to me, always moving too fast to focus.
