About the sitter

Dr Andrew McCann is an interventional cardiologist and vascular physician at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane and at Ipswich Cardiac Centre. A  graduate from the University of Queensland he completed his residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital before training in cardiology at the Royal Brisbane and Prince Charles Hospitals. Andrew also undertook a year of dedicated peripheral endovascular training and Vascular Medicine at the Mass General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Scott McDougall says: “I wanted to capture Andrew in a relaxed, casual pose rather than what is normally expected in a formal portrait. Here is a highly qualified professional enjoying his day off, a touch of exhaustion in the eyes but a relaxed pose as he sinks into his comfy chair.”
