Butterflies and Consumed Eyes by Isha Ohlmann

This self-portrait is about my journey with social media addiction and how, in this generation, it can be so easy to waste our days online rather than making real memories. The butterflies represent the beautiful moments that are all around us and how easy it is to miss them. It shows how all my focus is stolen and I don’t even notice the butterflies because I’m too distracted. This artwork is a reminder that if you let the lives of others steal your focus, you’ll miss the butterflies in your own life. Brisbane is one of the places I love making great memories with friends and family, and I can’t wait to make many more.
