Grandma’s Pink Sunhat by Sabrina Vickers

I have chosen to draw a realistic interpretation of my grandmother, a senior woman residing in the Bayside. My grandmother, Helen Vickers, is a wonderful woman who has enriched my life by exposing me to the beautiful landscape and local treasures of Brisbane and wider Queensland. She has a deep appreciation for nature, flora and fauna alike, and has shared this with me, enabling me to open my eyes to the smaller, less acknowledged aspects of life. Thus, I would like to share her with others via my artwork, and do so with a charming image of her gentle smile, while a parrot is perched perfectly upon her bright sun hat.
