About the artwork and sitter
Alexis Diamond a.k.a Brisbanes Premier BlowUp Doll is a 26yr old Brisbane based Drag Queen. Alexis started performing in Melbourne however, it wasn’t until moving to Brisbane that her career really kicked off.
Over the past 7 years Alexis has had the privilege of hosting & performing at a variety of Brisbane and Australian venues. Alexis is a multitalented Queen; having both a degree in makeup artistry and hairdressing – setting her apart from the rest. Her talent has not only allowed her to travel the country but also perform alongside an array of; Local, Interstate and International queens (RuPauls Drag Race Alumni).
About the artist
Jason McNamara is a local photographer who has worked hard at developing his own signature style. He says that even though this is the case, his style is constantly evolving. McNamara’s work has been represented in many competitions, as a finalist, and winner, including the Olive Cotton Award for Photographic Portraiture and the Ipswich Art Awards.
