About the artwork
This self portrait was done during the Covid-19 pandemic when the entire country went into lockdown. During this isolating time I began working from home where I would constantly be in online meetings. Before a meeting would start, my portrait would be the only thing appearing on my computer.

About the artist
Adrian Charles Smith is an emerging Australian artist living and working in Brisbane. He primarily uses painting to explore our relationship with technology in the everyday, focusing on scenes of the mundane, and often repetitive occurrences of the unfiltered human experience. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Queensland College of Art and in 2018, he was a finalist in the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship.
