My Art Teacher, Ms Roya by Evelyn Hughson

My name is Evelyn. I have always enjoyed Art, especially painting and digital painting. I love creating cartoons and game characters digitally. I love doodling and painting in my journals and capturing everyone or everything that inspires me, including my friends at school.

The subject for this portrait is my high school art teacher Ms Roya. She is an amazing teacher whose burning passion for art dances around the classroom, much like she does as well. After coming to Kimberley College in year 10, Ms Roya has reignited my spark for the Arts, for which I am very grateful. Ms Roya frequently takes our class on excursions to see exhibitions at GOMA and QAG. While there she encourages me to continue creating art and explore my fullest potential as she believes in me. This portrait is dedicated to this strong, wonderful woman who encourages her students to explore the arts and nurtures their creativity.
