About the artist and artwork
The pursuit of masterly quality and technique is a high priority for internationally recognised pastellist, Lyn Diefenbach. She holds Master Pastellist status with the Pastel Society of Australia, and In 2014 was awarded Master Circle in the International Association of Pastel Societies.
Each of her paintings celebrates life, and her faith.
This portrait was in the back of Lyn’s mind for a decade before it came to life. Only recently did she feel confident enough to tackle it and was infused with the idea of it being ‘a painting for our time’.
