About the sitter
Brian Tucker is an institution on the Brisbane art scene. A long time art collector and advocate, he has worked in the arts as an accountant and auditor since 1980. He has worked for many famous Brisbane artists over the last few decades, and is also known for supporting students and donating generously. Recently, he has become more interested in collecting indigenous art, travelling to and working with communities across the state. Known to be a snappy dresser, Suzanne says of him: “Always on the move usually in a fabulous pair of boots, his work takes him to remote aboriginal communities throughout Australia: where the bitumen ends and the dirt begins, heels and all.”
