In 2025, a Salon des Refusés will again be held at the Royal Queensland Art Society Petrie Terrace Gallery, running during the main Finalists Exhibition.
All artists who enter the Brisbane Portrait Prize will be able to select whether they would like to be considered for the Salon should they not make the finalists list.
The Salon will provide more opportunity for artists to be exhibited, and more chance for the public to see the portraits.
The 2025 Salon des Refusés will run for a 4 week period in October 2025.
